Message From The President
To All Richfield Soccer Club Members-Our fall season is fast approaching. If you are new to the club, I wish to welcome you and if you are veterans, welcome back.
We had a good number of coaches and players attend a one day wave camp on Sat. Aug. 21. I would like to thank Vice President Dan Stingl for putting this event together.
Most of you should have been contacted by a coach by now at U-7 and above. If you have not been contacted please let me know. U-6 coaches should be contacting you by the end of this week.
A document called “Kettle Moraine Soccer League – Parent Handbook” has been distributed to all parents via e-mail. I strongly urge all parents to read this concise booklet to understand the game and different rules for different age levels.
Please ensure that your child has shin guards, cleats (NO baseball cleats with front spike) and the appropriate size ball (U6-U-8 = #3, U-9 to U-12 = #4 and U-14 = #5) for practice.
We have some limited numbers of used balls, cleats and shin guards that are in our storage room that all coaches have access to. These are available free. If you have any unwanted cleats, shin guards or balls in good condition they can be left with a coach for the exchange program or left at the concession stand on game days. The exchange box will be left out on game days.
Schedules have been sent to the coaches this weekend and will be sent to you through your individual team coach. If the coach creates a snack/drink schedule please do your best to remember this as it is important to the kids. In some cases, more important than the game itself! The home game schedule is posted in the display case on the concession building.
Photo day will be on October 2 (tentatively). You will get the time for your team in an e-mail as we being the season, but please try to keep that day free to ensure your child is part of their team photo.
Typically in the Fall, we have had a picnic day on the same day as our photo day. Keep an eye out for more details on this as the season gets going.
Enjoy the season!

Spring Referee Certification Clinic Schedule Set
Dear KMSL Referee Directors and Reps; The schedule is set for the spring clinics. I have set up a Google site for the registration process. I also plan on posting rules, updates, FAQ’s and an Ask Someone who Knows (ASK) page. The registration form fills in a Google Docs spreadsheet that the Club Referee Directors will have access to for checking if their referees have registered. I have also set up a spreadsheet for the Club Directors to fill in the information on their referees. This will allow us to monitor how many referees are being certified by USSF and KMSL. It will also provide me with a head count to get KMSL badges and other information to the clubs. A separate email will be sent shortly to the Club Referee Directors explaining how to get access to the information.
The address for the KMSL Referee website is http://sites.google.com/site/kmslreferee/home
The clinic schedule is:
Recertification
Saturday March 6th 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Kettle Moraine YMCA - West Bend
Saturday March 20th 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Kettle Moraine YMCA - West Bend
Certification
Saturday February 27th 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Kettle Moraine YMCA - West Bend
Please let me know if you have new or returning referees that can not make these clinics. We’ll see if we can work out other arrangements.
Please let me know if you are able to assist at any of the clinics.
Richfield Soccer Equipment Exchange Program Announced
It's time to clean out the garage and basement! Move out the old soccer equipment and make room for the new!The Richfield Soccer Club is offering a soccer cleat and shin guard exchange for families involved in the Richfield Soccer Club. In the store room by the village soccer fields (coaches have acces to it), there is a clear plastic bin where you can drop off old cleats and shin guards.
If you wish to unload soccer cleats and shin guards, just take them to the soccer fields and leave them at the concession stand or give them to a coach to put in the bin.
If you need a pair (shoes/cleats), you can take a pair in exchange for dropping some off.
Contact your coach if you are interested in what is available in the bin!

Richfield Soccer Club Announces Old Uniform Donation Program
The Fall 2009 season at Richfield Soccer Club marks the start of a new 2-year cycle for uniforms. All registered players will be receiving a new uniform this year. The new uniforms feature an updated look. Players will no longer be allowed to wear uniforms from the previous design in games. This will undoubtably leave many RSC families with uniforms in need of a home.Uniform and Logo Wear Co-ordinator, Tom Wolff, has started a program to find homes for these old uniforms. He has been in contact with the director of a program that collects old uniforms and then redistributes them to children in countries of need. Given our two-year replacement cycle, we feel that our "old" uniforms could be a huge benefit to many of these children.
If you have extra uniform tops that you would like to donate to this great cause, a collection box will be placed at the RSC Concession Stand starting with our first game day. You can simply drop of any uniforms you would like to donate and Tom will make sure they all get to the right place. You can also give the uniforms to your HEad Coach and they will make sure Tom gets them.
